Also, I would like to point out that the inline spell check option for all text entry areas on the site is now set to default, which means you have no excuses for being misspelling words anymore.

Also, a new feature programmed into the site is the ability to have an automatic inline mp3 player added whenever you insert an mp3 link for the first time in any blog entry.

About The Officer's meeting:

This was the first ever official clan business meeting that we ever aired live on WCKR, and we would like to thank the management team of WCKR for their cooperation in presenting this meeting commercial free. We had some issues facing he clan, and some things are going to be restructured. One Important item you might all want to listen for is Operation Consolidation: Phase 3, which calls for the movement of all active main accounts into one chapter, CerealKillaz Ninjaz. So listen to the reason and how we have planned to get past the issue of only being able to assign one account the captaincy of any mtgo clan. I think you'll find it an ingenious plan. First off, I want to say that I'm real excited to announce these changes to you that I think you are going to like. So, I'll just list them off in order.

Instant Messaging Upgrades:

1. Instant Message (IM) windows can now be minimized.
2. The CK Messenger button will contain all your minimized (Active) IMs in the buddylist.
3. If you have an IM open with someone on the site, yet minimized to the toolbar and they send you a chat, the full text of the message will show in a message alert popup at the bottom right of the site, and the number online indicator will flash between red and yellow colors.
4. When you click on your buddylist after the thing in #3 happens, you will see a yellow dot beside the one most recently chatting with you.

Okay, so IMs is obviously the big one here, but you guys should also be aware of the following one, it's something to do with your profiles:

New Friend Box:

The Friends element that can be added to your profile now can be customized to display the friends by various ways which you choose.

This one, you just have to go play around with and hopefully you'll like it. You may have to delete your old friends element before adding the new one.

Also, in an added bit, if you have the chatroom minimized and switch pages, you now stay in it, which is a big plus, and the new message glow from yellow to red on the ims has been added to the chat room population indicator.

Try these out everyone, I think you will like them.

As you may have seen in the title of the blog post, some even newer features have been added which i think you should be aware of. Firstly, the text editor site-wide has recieved a lot of functionality tweaks. Secondly, all plain text commenting areas have been updated to now show entered URLs as links, and image URLs as thumbnails, and YouTube URLs as playable videos directly in the comment, as i will display in a comment directly under this post.

This is a new feature that I have just added to our site toolbar, so I thought I should teach you cats how to do it. This walkthrough will show you how to get to the video page. The rest of the pages are similar, just click a different link in step 3. Here it is, with pictures:

This notice is to inform our site users of a new instant message feature and a few more features to come. You may have recently heard a little dinging sound in your ears while on the CerealKillaz site. Some of you may even have seen a pop-up window somewhere in your browser screen with some various chat in it. This is our new site-wide Instant Messaging system!! The system is just now entering alpha testing on the spruz network. I'm glad to say CK was among the first non-spruz owned group of spruz platform sites to have it!! I told the guys if anyone could break it, it would be us.

How do you start a conversation with your friend? This is a tough question. It might not work for you yet. The current procedure is to click on a (USER PICTURE) in the "Who's Here" element on the left. The plan is to include other procedures for starting a conversation, and YOUR INPUT MATTERS! I need you guys to tell us what you like and dislike about the system, so play with it, tell me what's wrong with it, and think of ideas that could make it better. I will be putting a poll up soon, go vote on it.

I guess I'll start where you guys want me to. Well, some of you may have heard that a few former high ranking members of this clan have decided to roll elsewhere. This is no big deal, and they were not irreplaceable personel. Cool people, indeed they were, and I've not a bad word to say about any of them other than that they are non-CK now, and you know how I feel about that, yo. Kaya will be missed because she ran events. It has come to my attention, that CKs aren't really playing in that many Player Run Events anymore anyway, hence a lot of Kaya's frustration, so I have decided to dissolve the events department altogether. Does this mean the end of CK only leagues, etc? That depends on you, the CerealKillaz member. I've made it now possible for any CK to add an event easily to the calendar, and I hereby encourage you all to put your league nights on there, random tournaments of your choosing, whatever you want. Have fun with it, it's your site.

Windwalker left because, well he never really gave me a very sober reason why, so I am guessing that he wanted to go back to Only Hell now that they are attempting to rebuild a power-base. This is to be expected. Expect to see more former Only Hell that are now CK jump back over there. It's understandable. No big deal, and again, neither of the aforementioned are irreplaceable, and rest assured that CerealKillaz will continue to roll forward without these people.

What now?

I have narrowed the list of chapter captains down to a reasonable number, and I will be naming the five that will run the chapters we will be keeping at the upcoming Officer's meeting on November 8th.

Recruiting will open back up sooner than expected. Expect the recruiting freeze to be over by the end of November, with more stringent recruiting processes implemented when it is over.
Welcome our esteemed bubbakush back to his rank of Field Marshal, a rank he held admirably in the past.

Now for the contest!

The object of the contest will be to write an article describing the current landscape of the clan environment/multiplayer environment. This will include specifics (tell us who's playing teams and what they're known to play, etc) This will include noticing which clans are trying to make a name for themselves. Notice a newb in the room and want to interview him/her? Get Creative, yo! Entries will be due by 12:00am December 1, 2009 (all times eastern). What's the prize? 20 tix, yo. That's right, 20 tix, and all you gotta do is write a blog entry that will get featured on the ck site. Not too bad a deal, eh? Go get writing. Make sure to put your entries into the category labeled "November Article Contest." This is open to any site user at CerealKillaz.org, but you must provide me with your username on mtgo if you win.

The rules for the events are as follows:

1) You can add your birthday.

2) You can add any other event that other CerealKillaz can come to.

3) You may not include pornographic or otherwise offensive material in your event descriptions (this stuff outputs to the front page).

Other than that, have fun. If you find that you have an access level lower than 4 and you wish to add events, then by all means, please email me your username and I'll fix you right up.

Once on your profile, you can click on the photos tab and add all the pics you like. If you already have some on your profile, then you can just go right on to the next step of clicking on a collection and clicking the "Add Photos" link. A popup will appear with all the files you have in your profile Photos section, and you just click to add or remove them. It really is that simple. There will most likely be some management features available from your profile areas soon.

I look forward to the next meeting we can have with all you guys, you made me proud. I was honestly afraid more people would no-show.

Now for the information on the site: I added a new member search area, you can find this under the navigation drop-down menu in the main menu bar at the top of the page under the banner. This is a very nice search feature which will help you get to know people on the site better.

Also, I have added a Video Chat area (located in the same menu as the member search) for CerealKillaz clan members only (this requires access level 4 or higher to see the link). If you would like to have a real display name on the video chat (you don't have to have a camera to watch folks act stupid), then just go sign up at www.tokbox.com.

2. Recruiting will resume on January 1st, 2010.

Penalties for refusing this order will be as follows:

1. If a chapter captain recruits a new member before January 1st, 2010, the chapter captain will lose his/her position as chapter captain.

Exceptions to this order will include the following:

1. Any CerealKillaz.org site member that made an application for membership in this forum before September 16th, 2010.
2. Any CerealKillaz member that was booted due to inactivity and was given an invitation to come back when they got back online.

Now on to the real news, check out the video page! Just click "Videoz" in the navigation bar. This page will populate with videos added on member profiles, and also, you can add videos directly from the video page. The video page also comes with 2 new front page elements, 1 shows the two most popular videos (determined by number of views), and one shows the 4 most recently added videos.
